Happy Thanksgiving! Sending out wishes of safe travels if you will be on the road or in the air, good food and a festive time with your friends and family.

We are going to start the morning with hot chocolate and toasted pumpkin bagels and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Probably some household type stuff and finally dinner.

Apologies and Shop Updates

I have been really irregular in my blogging posts and especially with commenting and I want to send out an apology. I have been reading and checking in here and there but not always leaving a comment for you and it is something I feel badly about. Life has been busy and crazy. I haven't had a lot to say so I haven't been posting much either. I have been sewing lots and that has taken and used much of my creativity and energy. I wanted to share some new handmade items I've been working on and also tell you about a new blog I created on a whim yesterday titled Little Byrd Vintage. Time will tell if I am any more consistent with my posts. For now it is a just a little seed that has been planted. I just added a bunch of really great vintage items to my etsy site too. Back from a long and FUN weekend to visit my friend Brooke at

Back from a long and FUN weekend to visit my friend Brooke at her home in LA! Flew out first thing Friday morning and we hit the ground running. We did lots and lots of junking, eating outside at little bistros, chatting, and finally a wonderful hike up Runyon Canyon followed by a free yoga class on the lawn at the base of the mountain - outside, under the trees = perfect yoga.

The weather was a welcome 85 - 90 each day! I came home full of inspiration to sew from spending time with my creative friend and talking endlessly about all the things we could make and gathering all kinds of ideas from the shops and flea market booths we visited. I am hoping to add some new handmade products by the end of the week to my Etsy shop. In the meantime here are a few snaps of the vacation.
